Provenance |
The Timberland Development Company (known as Timberland Lumber Company off the island, they originated from New Westminster) was incorporated in December 1918. They had a sizeable logging camp in Ladysmith. They came to the island because they were running out of forest to cut on the mainland. The mill was moved to the Fraser River so that logs could be floated in from the coast. |
