Photograph was taken during a "fun fair" that took place at Gerry Wellburn's property in Deerholme. It was sponsored by the 2nd Duncan Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. It involved train rides, horse-drawn stage, logging museum, games, and refreshments. About 1,200 people came to the fun fair. The event netted $200.00 dollars (~$1,959 in 2022) for the 2nd Duncan Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. The average charge for rides on the trains and on the stage coach worked out to less than 20 cents (~$2.00 in 2022). |
