Provenance |
During the Depression, Jube and his older brother Ardiel (Ardy) made money after school and on the weekends by working on the log booms in the Sooke Basin. In 1968, Jube and Ardy were hired by the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) to produce and manage their Timber Show, which led to the formation of Wickheim Timber Shows. Wickheim Timber Shows preformed all over the world - from Australia to Japan, in Norway, Sweden, Chile, the United States and Canada. Including Expo 70 (Osaka, Japan), Expo 86 (Vancouver, BC), a special performance for Prince Charles and Lady Diana, as well as 8 seasons with SeaWorld Parks. Between them, the brothers won 14 World Log Rolling Championships in 15 years. |
