Provenance |
Robin King designed and built his own portable sawmill in 1942. Was easier and cheaper than a permanent sawmill. In 1952, a fire left the mill in need of full repairs. After reconstruction, his biggest contract was making ties for M&B hence the name King's Tie Mill. The mill operated until 1982 when it was then donated to the BC Forest Museum. |
