Donor states this copy was made for the purpose of legal proceedings in which he was involved in as the lawyer for the brothers. He dates the photograph to the late 1940s and that the log behind the brothers was hand felled. Gilbert and Jeffery were longtime residents of Duncan. They entered the logging industry very young: Around the ages of 10 and 12. Their company would later become quite successful, primarily after WWII. The log on the truck is possibly from a sitka spruce. |
