Provenance |
1918 - purchased from Plimley Motors, Victoria 1920's purchased by Horton of Cobble Hill, BC. Used for hauling telephone poles and piling in Cobble Hill. It was also used as a garbage truck in Victoria, until solid tires were ruled off the road. It then came back up island and was used for hauling by Harlem's in Cobble Hill. The BCFDC bought it from Colin Harton and restored it to running condition. See more info in 1918 Truck, Maxwell 964.1.2 folder in the Curator's office (1964-1984 Locomotives drawer). |
